Bamse

Our jacquard baby blanket is woven in Røros from Norwegian lambswool. We construct the pattern directly through the weave, allowing the colours to reverse across the two sides of the textile. After weaving, the wool is brushed to lift the fibres and create a softer, fuller surface. The smaller format translates the same material, colour and jacquard construction used across our wider throw collection into a wool blanket made for early years.

 

Bamse is designed by Hanne Berkaak and tells the story of two shy bears, Pia and Anton. Their relationship develops into a small love story, culminating in their marriage in a field of poppies. The figurative motif gives the baby blanket a narrative quality built around affection, companionship and optimism.
