Bento

At our mill in Røros, we weave each wool throw from Norwegian lambswool, building the pattern directly into the textile. The jacquard construction allows colour and pattern to reverse from one side to the other, while brushing lifts the wool fibres to give the finished throw a softer, fuller surface.
We have produced wool textiles in Røros since 1940, and the same material and weaving knowledge continues to inform how each throw is made today.

 

Bento is designed by Kristine Five Melvær. A black band divides the composition into two distinct colour fields, with warm reds and burnt orange set against softer blush tones. Concentric squares repeat on either side of the division, giving the woven textile a strong graphic structure built through colour, scale and symmetry.
