House on the Hill

This lightweight-wool throw is crafted from Norwegian lambswool, and has repeated structures woven directly into the fabric. This creates a surface where texture, pattern and colour are part of the construction itself. The weave has a quiet, tactile character, with its detail becoming clearer at close range and through touch. Each throw is woven and finished in Røros.

 

House on the Hill is one of three designs in the Holiday Triptych series by Anderssen & Voll. The series considers holiday and leisure through three separate woven motifs. House on the Hill captures the sense of departure and destination associated with summer travel, bringing a narrative quality to the repeated structure of the dobby weave.
