Kassett

At our mill in Røros, we weave each wool throw from Norwegian lambswool, building the pattern directly into the textile. The jacquard construction allows colour and pattern to reverse from one side to the other, while brushing lifts the wool fibres to give the finished throw a softer, fuller surface.
We have produced wool textiles in Røros since 1940, and the same material and weaving knowledge continues to inform how each throw is made today.

 

Kassett is designed by Skogstad & Wærnes. Woven from Norwegian lambswool, the design began as an exploration of structure, architecture, construction, and systems. The palette is built around analogous and split-complementary colour relationships, creating subtle shifts in rhythm, depth, and contrast across the surface. A contrasting blanket stitch frames the throw and gives Kassett its defining graphic detail. The result is a contemporary Norwegian wool throw where colour, construction, and material work together in a clear and expressive design.
