Krokodille

The half-size jacquard throw brings the same woven construction as our full-size wool throws into a smaller, compact format. Woven in Røros from Norwegian lambswool, the jacquard construction uses the pattern through the textile and reverses the colour relationship on its opposite side. Brushing raises the wool fibres after weaving, adding softness and depth to the surface while retaining the definition of the pattern.

 

Krokodille is designed by Hanne Berkaak around an unlikely inhabitant of the Glomma river: John, a solitary crocodile who prefers to keep to himself. The deliberately improbable story gives the children's textile its character, following John until he drifts downstream on a piece of wood with a final “See you later, alligator.”
