Mimi

This lightweight-wool throw is crafted from Norwegian lambswool, and has repeated structures woven directly into the fabric. This creates a surface where texture, pattern and colour are part of the construction itself. The weave has a quiet, tactile character, with its detail becoming clearer at close range and through touch. Each throw is woven and finished in Røros.

 

Mimi is designed by Anderssen & Voll as a reinterpretation of houndstooth, a historic woven pattern closely associated with Scottish textiles and tailoring. By moving the familiar geometry into wool for the home and working with warmer colour relationships, the designers give the established pattern a different scale, setting and character.
