Kristine Five MelværNaturpledd Flette is designed by Kristine Five Melvær as part of the Naturpledd series. The motif takes braiding as its starting point, turning a fundamental way of working with yarn into a woven pattern. The series uses yarn coloured with natural dyes, allowing material, technique and motif to follow the same idea.

At our mill in Røros, we weave each wool throw from Norwegian lambswool, building the pattern directly into the textile. The jacquard construction allows colour and pattern to reverse from one side to the other, while brushing lifts the wool fibres to give the finished throw a softer, fuller surface. We have produced wool textiles in Røros since 1940, and the same material and weaving knowledge continues to inform how each throw is made today.
Handwash (30°C or 86°F)
Use mild detergent for wool
Remove excess water by rolling
Dry on a flat surface
Do not shake hard
