Pastille

At our mill in Røros, we weave each wool throw from Norwegian lambswool, building the pattern directly into the textile. The jacquard construction allows colour and pattern to reverse from one side to the other, while brushing lifts the wool fibres to give the finished throw a softer, fuller surface.
We have produced wool textiles in Røros since 1940, and the same material and weaving knowledge continues to inform how each throw is made today.

 

Pastille is designed by Anderssen & Voll. An open grid of contrasting dots forms a simple, regular repeat across the textile. The restrained structure places emphasis on the relationship between the colours, with each dot acting as a small interruption within the larger woven field.
