Portør

We weave our cushions in Røros from Norwegian lambswool, with colour and pattern constructed directly through the weave, giving the textile a defined woven surface.
Each cushion is supplied with an inner cushion made in Norway and filled with duck down and feathers.

 

Portør is designed by Kristine Five Melvær and named after a small coastal village in southern Norway. Woven squares move gradually from light to dark, with additional tones appearing where differently coloured threads intersect. The pattern uses the mechanics of weaving to create a continuous transition of colour across the surface.
