Sau

The half-size jacquard throw brings the same woven construction as our full-size wool throws into a smaller, compact format. Woven in Røros from Norwegian lambswool, the jacquard construction uses the pattern through the textile and reverses the colour relationship on its opposite side. Brushing raises the wool fibres after weaving, adding softness and depth to the surface while retaining the definition of the pattern.

 

Sau is designed in-house by Røros Tweed. The motif places the Norwegian sheep that supplies the wool at the centre of the design, acknowledging both the material itself and the farmers who raise the animals. The source of the fibre becomes the subject of the textile.
