At our mill in Røros, we weave each wool throw from Norwegian lambswool, building the pattern directly into the textile. The jacquard construction allows colour and pattern to reverse from one side to the other, while brushing lifts the wool fibres to give the finished throw a softer, fuller surface.
We have produced wool textiles in Røros since 1940, and the same material and weaving knowledge continues to inform how each throw is made today.

 

Skog is designed by Anderssen & Voll and takes wood engraving and the linear density of the forest as its visual references. Repeated lines build up across the woven surface like overlapping trunks, branches and shadows. The palette stays close to natural tones, allowing structure and repetition to carry the character of the pattern.
