Sun Throw

This lightweight-wool throw is crafted from Norwegian lambswool, and has repeated structures woven directly into the fabric. This creates a surface where texture, pattern and colour are part of the construction itself. The weave has a quiet, tactile character, with its detail becoming clearer at close range and through touch. Each throw is woven and finished in Røros.

 

Sun Throw is one of three designs in the Holiday Triptych series by Anderssen & Voll. The collection considers holiday and leisure through three woven motifs. In Sun Throw, lines radiate outward from the centre of the textile, using repetition and direction to translate the movement of light into a dobby-woven pattern.
