Under a Tree

This lightweight-wool throw is crafted from Norwegian lambswool, and has repeated structures woven directly into the fabric. This creates a surface where texture, pattern and colour are part of the construction itself. The weave has a quiet, tactile character, with its detail becoming clearer at close range and through touch. Each throw is woven and finished in Røros.

 

Under a Tree is one of three designs in the Holiday Triptych series by Anderssen & Voll. The series explores holiday and leisure through woven pattern. Layered leaf forms create a repeated botanical structure, drawing on a tradition of stylised natural graphics and the shade and stillness associated with sitting beneath a tree in summer.
